The Prince Myshkins play almost any venue, with the exception of loud bars and clubs. We love to perform at rallies and fundraisers and in coffee shops, classrooms, houses, theaters, and old sheds. We work on a sliding pay scale; as proud members of AFM Local 1000, we like to ask for a small guarantee for each event, which allows us to file union contracts and put away money to retire on someday. On the other hand, our fee depends on the cause (we know some causes are hard up for funding), and we rarely turn down an offer.
To perform, we need a PA system, including four microphones, mic stands, and cables, as well as time for a sound check before the performance. In some spaces (classrooms and living rooms, for example), we're happy to play without this stuff.
